For whatever reason, there is a large segment of management that would prefer people to work miserable and less productive than happy and more productive. For lack of a better reason, it might be because of a need to feel in control issue. Or maybe a generation gap? Commuting is the last gasp of the boomers.
Because it’s not about the money, it’s about making us miserable.
