Because anything to avoid a real job.
She may be a Karen, but I have at least some sympathy for anyone punished for criticizing the One Pure and Holy (Black) Race. She wouldn't have been fired if the guy was white.
What's conveniently memory-holed in the hysteria around this issue is that the birdwatcher carried dog treats for the express purpose of luring unleashed dogs, and when he lured her dog he said "if I give your dog some of these dog treats, you won’t like what happens…" That's a pretty clear threat. There's been a weird little feud between birdwatchers and dog walkers in Central Park, and this particular dude apparently has quite a reputation for aggressively confronting people.
Are we reading the same article? Because it looks like she was unjustly fired on a baseless accusation of racism. I'm not saying she's a shining example of humanity herself, but due to the circumstances started in the article, she may have a case.
maybe they shouldn't fire her for something that didn'g happen at work?
I'd sue too, I've been a bird watcher for 50 yrs & have never seen a black birdwatcher. That punk was out there on the down low looking for a his little bitch.
