So how does that look when you get into the 100K, 1M, 10M etc. ranges? "Money is correlated with happiness up to a certain point," has much less kick than "Monely equals happiness."
Captain, But how do we know the data isn't showing that happiness helps us make money? John P.S. I keep reading your blog for the charts -- and your humor. Thank you.
Still, with 99% of the population in the world under $75,000 per person, I think we can say for practically all people in the world, money = happiness.
Unless you're Paris Hilton, then jail time really puts you in a sour mood. HA!
Money really doesn't make people happy. Money buys things like a good education for your children, quality health care to keep yourself alive and free of pain, and time to spend with your loved ones or pursuing your other interests and hobbies. Those are the things that make people happy, and guess what? Money buys them.
Money can also be used to buy a PA system, a CD with Yakety Sax on it,, and an old minivan packed to bursting with cheetos and silly string. When you've had your fun with the previously listed items, you can post bail with money too. That means money can buy you a really good time, as well as happiness. :)

I've always heard that money isn't the key to happiness. But, I always figured that if I had enough money, I could have a key made.
Not sure who originally said that, but I like it.
