What deflator are you using? I suspect you are understating past inflation
Not my data, it's WTRG's. It does look like other charts I've seen before. I believe they did adjust for inflation correctly.
I agree that they did indeed adjust for inflation in the way that most mainstream economists adjust for inflation: by believing the guvmint's CPI data. Which I believe is understating inflation
60 cent 'Chretien bucks' today would translate into more than 2 dollars a litre?
