Rantings and tirades of a frustrated economist.
Nah, we're all trailer trash out here.We have to drive down to Ft Collins to find fancy restaurants and hippies to frighten.
from the dad link: "36% of people have less than $1,000 saved for retirement" and "the average 50 year old has saved just $50,000 toward retirment"my knee jerk reaction is how can people be so irresponsible, but just a casual glance at history tells me most peoples did not plan ahead. i mean, name one instance of any story of people living in the 1600s that had credit accounts all over the village.so people today not planning ahead should not suprise.that said, i do two things. i'm probably a 1%'er because i actualyy save one $1,000 every month for my future and i also spend $1,000 on some thing every month like a trip just in case the govt sees my nice stash of cash and takes it because they have more guns than i do.(and if they do that, i become bitter old yelling at kids with tatoos because they voted in the govt that took my money).
