I hate Obama too, but releasing documents showing the President suspending our rights against unwarranted search and seizure is hardly "Petty BS".
Hey, I think it's pretty interesting that a guy who doesn't release school records, papers or an authentic birth certificate will suddenly make all sorts of internal memos from the previous administration available to the public.
But maybe that's just me.
Here's what I see from this.
Obama is beginning to realize that he was NOT elected because the US population actually though he was the best qualified candidate.
He is beginning to realize that he WAS elected because the American population was unified in its hatred of Bush.
So, given that his approval numbers are dropping faster then panties on prom night, he decides it will be a good idea to remind the US that he is still NOT Bush.
Look at it this way: it's important when a President decides that part of the Bill of Rights no longer counts. We need to know this crap sooner or later.
Since Obama's administration is going to be a four to eight year nonstop failtrain, when *could* we be made aware of this without it being a shameless attempt at diverting attention away from the Obama's administration's failures?
I'd prefer to know sooner rather than later. I wonder why the Bush administration didn't tell us they were destroying videos of interrogations? Doesn't it seem at least a little suspicious to the totalitarian apologists out there? Or are you going to be dumb enough to say that because the evidence was destroyed, it must have been nothing?
