Thomas Sowell is Much Better Spoken Than I

Two videos for you today Cappy Cappites.

One, this early morning video I put together explaining quite clearly what this blog and others like it stand for when it comes to race/gender/ethnic relations.

Two, Dr. Thomas Sowell demonstrating exactly who is the enemy advancing a political agenda and who is capable of intellectual honesty and truth.

I love that man. I'd vote for him in any office I had the chance to.

So, am I the only black woman agent in the field? Love the videos and share them often!

I agree completely on the race stuff. I'd really love to just focus on the left, but too many on our side adopt some of the same premises, mainly that we're primarily functions of our ethnicities instead of individuals. On certain sites, I'm attacked by both groups equally, and I'd love to devote more time to this stuff on my own site, but I'm stuck in a 9 to 5 (for now).

Sowell is beyond awesome. I'm not sure if you've read any of his books, but a couple of recommendations:

"A Conflict of Visions" describes the foundational differences between left and right as fairly and comprehensively as anything written.

"Vision of the Anointed" is the perfect book for anyone you know who's on the fence or an ostensibly reasonable leftie. If you're a leftist after finishing this book, you're beyond brainwashed. Perfect for "moderates".

"Black Rednecks, White Liberals" is a series of long essays primarily focusing on ethincity. It includes a detailed history of black education in America (hint: we did much better at it when we didn't feel quite so sorry for them), an essay on how certain ethnic groups (Jews, Nigerian Ibos, Chinese, etc.) follow the same economic patterns worldwide and basically kick ass no matter how much they're oppressed, and he proposed the thesis that "African-American" culture has far more in common with the poorer regions of the UK than it does with Africa.

His column is good, but his books are beyond awesome.

Thomas Stowell is the man. I follow his writings regularly on TownHall.com

Good stuff for the critical thinker.

Thomas Sowell is probably the best economist currently living. One is fully comparable to Frederick Hayek and Milton Friedman. I don't know why he is not getting the recognition he deserves. I know much of the field is left of Lenin. However, Sowell should be getting more recognition than he is from the right.
