The stations should be renamed. NBC now becomes DBC (Democrat Broadcasting corporation) CBS becomes DBS (Democrat Broadcasting System). ABC is ADC (All Democrat Corporation)
Fox remains the right wing extremists that DHS warns you about.
I never really watched network TV in the first place. Cable either had more interesting programs/movies, or showed network programs in a much more condensed format.
And now that I have broadband Internet access, I don't even have to bother tuning into anything on schedule. I just wait until someone uploads it.
The popularity of talk radio and Fox News is proof that a major niche in the market has been under-served by their competitors. Those competitors will sacrifice profits for the sake of maintaining their leftist political advocacy.
I'm not suggesting that Fox is truly "fair and balanced", but they at least give a minimal effort to have competing viewpoints on the air. The other networks profess the leftist viewpoint as if it is authoritative and indisputable truth. All socialism, all the time.
Fox gets its news feeds from the same place every other network gets it: the leftist Associated Press. But you see stories, hear opinions, and learn information on Fox that you simply won't get anywhere else. In the words of Rush Limbaugh, "I am equal time!"
The internet is killing newspapers and network news is next. Jim Lehrer recently said on the Michael Medved show that he opposes the Fairness Doctrine. He says there is more than adequate information about opposing viewpoints available for people from all sources.
Remember, liberalism is a cult of self-hatred and death. They will kill their newspapers, kill their networks, and kill their radio shows before they admit they're selling things the American people don't want.
The picture of ER should be post Dr. Green when it went downhill to match the graph below it. I started to hate the show when Dr. Weaver spent the first few minutes criticizing Condi Rice.

Ok, the broadcast networks have gradually lost viewership over the decade. Let's swag the loss going from 35% to 25% of households.
Oh, and isn't this trend similar to what we see with newspaper readership?
More information is needed to figure out where that 10% went and why though.
