The last few years I have gotten hooked on anime. In particular, the music is far more interesting than anything I have heard on American TV shows in many years. In fact, I think the Japanese put more into just the music than Hollywood puts into entire seasons of the crap they produce.
The latest economics fantasy supernatural romance I'm into (I love that Japan has not only made this a thing, but a thing with more than one instance) is Maoyuu. There's an anime of it this season but it kind of sucks so far. The manga is much better, and you can read it for free here: http://www.batoto.net/read/_/11482/maoyuu-maou-yuusha-be-mine-hero-i-refuse_ch1_by_extras

I happen to prefer the Future Blues album.

Or even the Tank! The Best album.
Totally badass soundtrack. The blue album is good, too.

Can't beat Tank!.
the show is great also. if anime turns you off, you should still catch this because it's nothing like the rest of the genre.
Can't get any more stylish than Cowboy Bebop.
*obligatory plug for Spice and Wolf*
