Wasn't the first book on calculus written by a woman? Women've got no excuse. Seriously; once they got over the culture shock, olden day smart people'd wipe the floor with us. Don't know where this "maths is hard" comes from, either. Always thought it was pointless and therefore frustrating until I finally escaped from school.
If math was easy, it wouldn't have taken about two millennia to solve Zeno's paradoxes.
Also, sub-prime mortgages would have been laughed out of existence as nonsense, and fewer people would take out loans that they have no real hope of paying back. (And those who try would rightly be suspected of attempted fraud.)
