Hike out to the confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers.
I wonder if there's gold in them thar canyons.

Also, a flightseeing tour is muchly recommended. The airport is NW of town. If hiking, don't make the same mistakes the guy did in 127 Hours. Look it up to see the dangers.
And why do I work myself to death in a cubicle?
Bring a sharp knife. :)
