Are you aware of this article, by one of your favorite economists and mine, Mr. Thomas Sowell, about this particular case?
The money (har!) quote, in my opinion:
"Moreover, last May District Attorney Nifong filed a statement saying that the prosecution 'is not aware of any additional material or information which may be exculpatory in nature.'
But he already knew what the DNA evidence was before he signed that statement."
That's called grounds for a mistrial at the very least, if not grounds for disbarment. This DA is the worst example of a politicking scumbag, and you know it's bad when his fellows are turning on him.
You misunderstand the Captain. It was a strictly BYOB affair, hence my bringing decent alcohol to his otherwise-benighted household.
For a supposed *finger quotes* "Irishman", our host the Captain has an appalling definition of a cocktail, let me tell you.
But he's safely moved now, and the frivolity can commence in safety; he may dispense his pearls of economic wisdom, so let there be dancing in the streets, drinking in the saloons and necking in the parlor!
Hey, there's still a lot of unpacking to do!...and cleaning the old place...and painting it...and getting it ready for sale...and redoing the carpet...and yard work

No comment on Nifong, but wanted to wish you the best. Hope your new year brings good things. Stay inside - it's a blizzard out there!
Way to go for making news in the liberal Star Tribune!
Good luck on the lawsuit.

Thanks Mollie,
Spent the better part of the holidays moving.
And Mahan even showed up for a "cocktail" or two!
I plead the Fifth.
Of Jameson's! Ba-zing!
Well gee, if you were offering cocktails for moving.... would have been there to help.
