James Brown Celebrity Hot Tub

Apparently you youth are unaware of one of the finer bits of theatrical genius from the late 80's. I actually had to explain Eddie Murphy's "James Brown Celebrity Hot Tub."

Ug, you youth. All you learn is socialism and how great you are for merely existing in school.

Haha if you can believe there are so many youths my age who still haven't even listened to on Lennon-McCartney song. It makes my mind explode (What should I introduce them to...the Beatles, or their solo work? Which album, which song?)

Well all I can say is GodBless Thomas Edison for the phonograph and the Lumière Brothers for the movie camera...if it wasn't for them we would never have the Beatles to listen to or Eddie Murphy's SNL skit to watch.

At a previous job I shared an office with a 20-something named Dave. One day his boss came looking for him while he was in the bathroom - my response was "Dave's not here, man" in a Tommy Chong voice. Dave walked back in as we stopped laughing and asked 'What's so funny?'. His boss told him what I said; he had a blank look on his face and asked; 'Who's Dave?'. Man did we feel old.

This is when black music was good. I remember the funk from the late 70's and 80's. It was way better than the rap-crap we hear today.

Of all the famous hot tubs, this one is still a favorite. Thanks for sharing!
