Heh, a friend of mine back in the Navy had a white silk suit made in Hong Kong. It was his drinking suit, he would dress up then go drinking until he was literally crawling from bar to bar.
The first 6 or 7 episodes that were filmed in Georgia are gold. It was geared towards an older audience instead of being rehashed into a kids show later on. Bo and Luke talking about being the dads to half of Hazzard's kids, AKA the town badboys is one example.
James Best was a Julliard-trained Shakespearean actor.
He was also responsible for much of the bowdlerization of the character of Roscoe P. Coltrane from devious partner to hapless imbecile; when he realized how popular the show was with children, he insisted on the writing changes so that children would not think of law officers as people that might not be trustworthy.
Spending $50 on a white polyester suit. That is a solid power move if ever I saw one. How do you say "Tony Manero?" (John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever)

Can I call you "Boss Hog" now??
The acting on that show by Boss Hogg and Roscoe P Coltrane was GENIUS. watch it today and you'll appreciate it.
You need a white Fedora with a nice black band on it to go with that.
Captain, if you are going to impersonate a fashionista in that suit I recommend seeking the services of a suit tailor.
A good tailor can make a suit go from "it fits" to "it _fits_", and cure any number of minor fitting ills.
Four buttons!?!?

Wait till I sport it and put a picture up for all to see.
I guess I'm getting old, my first thought was "The Man in the White Suit", not "The Dukes of Hazzard".
I suppose the Captain would rather be compared to Alec Guinness than Boss Hogg.
Who mentioned Col. Sanders?? Brilliant...
