Honestly, I wish you'd knock it the hell off with the IPFU gear. I don't think most of us like someone who's never been issued it, wearing it -- I guess once in a while is OK, but it shows up in all your photos, and for most of us that SCREAMS "stolen valor." You probably should be aware how it looks -- and, yeah, it does look that way.
Something further. The rank of captain was long said to be the best in the Canadian Army and the RCAF. It is indeed. As we drive through Alaska and the Yukon I am immensely pleased to have a lite-colonel as my driver.
Heh. There's always some NCO (not knocking it, by the way) who gets irked seeing issue gear worn in civvy settings.
Anyway, could be worse. Cappy could choose to be seen in ragged old BDU's. And from what I hear, IPFU wear restrictions in civ settings have been relaxed in the regs.
I'm NOT irked seeing IPFU gear used in civvy settings. I've done it. I se my soldiers do it all the time.
I AM irked, and most NCOs and officers and buck privates would be irked, by someone who has never worn the uniform constantly putting up photos of himself in pieces of it. It's clear what that's supposed to make you think. I'm sure that's not conscious on this kid;s part -- but he should quit it.

Coffee and cigars is all you need to live on.
I thought it was whiskey and cigarettes - with the caveat "but not for long"

I love it! And I have one of those t-shirts too.
But me? I add good single-malt scotch to the formula.
