YEAAA! I'm on the "Chart O' Evil"

To me it seems like patriots and Americans, not people who want to destroy democracy.

I was offended at the lack of some people for a moment, and then I realized this was a chart of bloggers, not of.... well, of the people I was thinking of.

You know, the funny thing is, ANYONE that reads that tripe(I did) and searches out any of the sites listed on that map, are gonna know pretty quickly that the author is full of shit.

Kind of like how Obama is the best gun salesman in north america, liberals are the best red pill salesmen on the internet.

Cool. Half way between masculine and economist. A Smart Alpha.

Where's Vox??

Laughingdog said...

I should send him an email thanking him for improving my reading list.

Vox is in the lower left, with "Christian Traditionalists".

See here for larger image.

Vox is right above Christian Tradiionalists.

I love when someone take the time to prepare me a new reading list. So much to discover.

I decided to read the article. What a load of tripe. "anti-democratic, racially charged, anti-modern, authoritarian"? All the things that progressives are, and he labels us with them. He specifically assigns progressive ideas such as eugenics to this "dark enlightenment" garbage.

My suspicion is that he interviewed this one guy, Moldbug, who I've never heard of, and then decided to lump all the others in with whatever he got from that interview. I mean seriously, Charles Murray the libertarian philosopher, John Derbyshire mathematician, the Captain? Has he read word one from any of these writers or was he so intellectually lazy that he just copied Moldbug's reading list and assigned them all to the so called Dark Enlightenment?

The list is obviously flawed since I'm not on it.

Congrats, Captain!

Dark 'N Lights. Abbreviation for a sinister neofacist shadow organization or a humorously named multicultural rally?

THERE WILL BE SONGS WRITTEN ABOUT THIS DAY!

Also just noticed that on the graphic (which appears to have no actual point) he equates conservatism with "procedural foot dragging", an amusing relation given the number of bills that the Republican controlled house has passed which have failed to even have a committee hearing in the Senate, as well as Reid's propensity for ensuring that no opposing viewpoints get heard through manipulation of the rules and procedures.

Looks a lot like my present blogroll, but I'm missing several. I'll get right to work on that.

I thought we did want to destroy democracy, in a way. At least, destroy the fetishization of democracy, the idea that democracy itself should be the goal of a society.

Economic liberty is the only kind of liberty worth a damn, and too much democracy only lets people vote that liberty away.

Congratulations, Captain!! It's not every day that one is libelled so magnificently by a leftard.

I don't see Kate McMillan or Kathy Shaidle on the list. Maybe the leftward hasn't heard of Canada. Omitting Kate is a real pity - for sheer black hatred of leftism and liberalism she is hard to equal (some of us try).

I invite readers to read my own analysis of this lovely chart, if Cappy will permit it: Southern Man: The Dark Enlightenment. Hey, I link to him all the time so why not?

I read the article and smiled at how fast he pulled the race card like it actually means something.
And wow, it was painful to see how incorporated the author is. May God have mercy on his soul.

Dammit. Why am I not on there?!?

bobn: Thanks, somehow I missed it despite scouring over it twice. I blame the fact I'm lazy and the dot obscures the letters a bit.

This chart is how i found you. Zerohedge isn't on the list. It's very similar but seems to have a different reader base than the sphere.
