Exacting a Toll of Revenge from Girls on the Dance Floor

AKA, the latest episode of The Clarey Podcast.

This broadcast includes the Captain's adventures while his girlfriend is out of town.  The adventures include:
  • trying to find the worst block in the ghetto of Minneapolis
  • playing wingman to one of his buddies as they go to "pick up chicks"
  • dealing with 20 something floozies at a country bar
  • why liberal arts majors are to blame for high gas prices
Apologies in advance for my coughing, I lost my voice the night before.

Update - Apparently there is a limited bandwidth at Box.com that i have already exceeded for my monthly allotment.  The only way you can listen is to listen to it online, you can't download it.  I will be changing the host to 4share unless anybody else can recommend a better location.

The Captain is giving unsolicited geography talks, UNSUBSCRIBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, I couldn't even tell you which part of the state your city is in, so the geography wasn't helpful lol. Other than that though, good podcast!

Listening to the part where you talk about Casablanca, and I'm surprised even a word like "kid" has become derogatory in these uncultured lunatics' eyes. If you had said something like "boss" or "massah," and quoted it from an old MGM or Warner Bros. cartoon from the 1930s and 40s, I would understand that, as blackface Uncle Tom stereotypes were common in those days, but kid, really? That's like saying something like "doc" or "bub." I see no problem with that kind of terminology.

I think something like "toots" would offend more women, but who cares really? People need to grow up and have a thicker skin.

This is where I prefer Aurini's Alpha/Omega distinction. That's not a higher level of alpha...

I have always thought "kid" was an insult, as it implies that they are not an adult yet.

I dunno .... listened to a few minutes of the podcast and got the distinct message that Cappy has some women issues. I mean to say the dialog is just barely post high school. When you read your late thirties, you should have resolved these women mysteries and either negotiated a relationship that works or stop whining and be a happy bachelor. with slimmer pickings and the years roll by.

People with sort of attitude around women are usually either muslim or they are guys who have to mail order in a Filipino cutie pie who will be grateful for being saved form poverty in the Philippines. If you are a strong man, a strong woman shouldn't scare you. if you are both intelligent, agreements can be reached to allow for mutual happiness.

FYI, women are a different gender, not a different species. It is possible to be married and still have your own life. Just make sure you aren't marrying a shrew or a dolt.

It is also worth noting that there are as amy ass-hole men out there as there are women shrews. Sometimes it's a crap shoot and sometimes people wind up with what they deserve. A smart adult male will choose wisely .... and leave the dick out of it.

@ John Henry

That explains all of the divorce and strong women shouting "you go girl" in the modern age. It's really just men's fault! We need to MAN UP!
