I love it when I'm told the Republicans/Conservatives in this country have all the money.
If you think for a second Obama is some innocent, poor farm boy from Illinois with no connections and therefore no strings attached, you are a fool.

Hey, not saying the Democrats don't have millionaires and billionaires in their fold, but it also has to do with the fact that Obama's supporters are way more excited than McCain's.
Republicans have all the money? Hmm...from my understanding, those who have a net worth in the range of $1 million to $10 million are overwhelmingly Republican, these are the people who are usually professionals such as doctors, lawyers, etc...who have worked hard to do well in their profession and invest, etc...and don't like the government taking their hard-earned money to re-distribute to others.
However, those with net worths ranging from $100 million to $1 billion and up, are overwhemingly liberal. Part of this is also because much of the new wealth is created in the knowledge capitals, such as San Francisco, New York City, Boston, Austin, etc...which are also very liberal, and many people.
Those with wealth in the range of $10 million to $100 million I have no idea.
I have heard that Obama gets lots of money from the Middle East too, though hidden through things like PACs and such, but I have no idea if that is just conspiracy baloney or if there is an element of truth to it.
Anonymous is correct though, as I have read that there are still a lot of very wealthy Republicans, but they just have been keeping out of politics as of late.
