Guess who's going to be my new doctor.

I saw a bit of that a few years ago, and thought it was a good thing.

Health care should be more along the lines of auto care. You would never consider sending you auto insurance company a bill for an oil change, or other routine maintenance, why should your health insurance pay for it.

Get rid of comprehensive health insurance. Doctors visits should be cash out of pocket.

The only insurance really required for health is catastrophic care insurance. If you get a serious illness (cancer for example, not the sniffles), which would represent a serious financial difficulty, that is what you insure against, not a $100 Dr. visit. That's the cost of living.

I wonder how much of a Dr.'s bill is insurance driven paperwork?

I wish I could find a doctor like him around here. Combined with my catastrophic health insurance and my HSA, I'd be set.
