Maybe if she stopped eating all the food it would stay on her table.

Yahoo is pretty much garbage these days. What used to be a decent search engine and email account has now turned to a tabloid wasteland. I still have a yahoo account for my main email, just because I've had it since the 90s and really haven't felt like bothering to update all my contacts with a new email address. But with the amount of spam I've been getting and with an overall lousy product, they may force my hand.

I was intrigued. The Yahoo headline didn't give enough info, so I wondered "what does the Captain think is so bad?" So I googled the article. It was about a healthcare worker named Sumer Spika who claimed she had never been involved in civil disobedience before but needed to stand up for a $15 minimum wage. Ok. Now I get it - this is about the idiots thinking that flipping burgers is worth $15/hr. A little more googling and it's easily determined that Ms. Spika is a SEIU shill. http://www.seiuhealthcaremn.org/about/officers-and-executive-board/

Dumbasses? No. Just average for a grifter. They use AP as their news feed and AP is just as agenda driven as the rest of the MSM. If Yahoo were smart, they'd go with appealing to the right on their news feed and make a niche for themselves outside of the Google near monopoly. But the IT community has grown so fast in a small area with a relatively few players that they have their own political bubble. I'm surprised that the stock holders don't complain that the Silicon Valley companies could greatly increase their stock prices by moving places where the taxes aren't so high and the home prices for their employees insane.

No, they are NOT a "bunch of dumbasses". They are, however, a bunch of filthy lying maggot swill.

Ok, I've done some internet sleuthing. Let's see if we can find the source of Ms. Spika's monetary problems. Is it the fault of evil corporations who fail to pay her a sufficient wage? Or, possibly, is it the fact that: (1) she chose to have 4 children when she has a crappy job; (2) her husband has MS (nor really her fault but she chose to have at least one additional child, possibly two, after his diagnosis); (3) she chose to marry a felon who was apparently convicted of domestic abuse and statutory rape (go to the Ramsey District Court website and search for Jonathan Spika). Jonathan Spika is apparently her husband. There's a picture of him here: http://www.workdayminnesota.org/articles/contract-talks-workers-hope-address-home-care-crisis
Lest you think I am being hard on Ms. Sumer Spika and uncharitable to a waddling pre-diabetic lardass, you should review the whole home healthcare worker unionization scam. If you google her name, you'll see her advocating for home healthcare worker unionization in MN. You should realize that many "home healthcare workers," however, are not employees. In many cases, they are family members who are merely receiving a Medicaid check from the government for taking care of a loved one. https://www.michigancapitolconfidential.com/16241

That's right, this tub of lard is literally taking money from people who are on government assistance and taking care of a disabled family member in the name of "SEIU dues."
