Dog House

Freaking hilarious.

And people wonder why the Captain avoids marriage.

Personally, I think that extra RAM with a note saying "thanks for the memories" is a cute gift.

Maybe this is why I'm single . . .

Last year I got my wife a diamond necklace. The jewelry store had the cutest little stuffed teddy bear with a pouch to put the necklace in.

I gave my wife the bear and she played with it for an hour, not even noticing there was a box in the pouch.

When she discovered the necklace she loved it too, but she would have been happy with just the bear and I would have save several Benjamins.

The bear is like a family member now, but without the crying of a child or the excrement of a pet. We're starting his own blog soon.

Buy a bear. Chicks dig bears.

The Vermont Teddy Bear Company can make custom bears.

This year I'm getting her a Metro Train make-up case from Sephora, $100, if any of you gents need a more serious suggestion.

I got her black leather gloves from Coach for her birthday. $100.

I'm completely out of ideas until next year.

I am the only man on my team, my teammates range from 35 to 52 or so. I'm the thorn among the roses so to speak, so I showed the doghouse video to them at lunch.

They thought it was a hoot. It's extremely well done.

Guess what my wife is getting for Christmas - no doghouse for me (at least this month)!

Oh, and this April, my wife and I will be celebrating our 30th anniversary.

I've been married for thirty years as well and to be honest, that dog-house didn't seem to bad.

I'm with Andrew. RAM with a note saying "Thanks for the memories" is an awesome gift.

Then again, I don't have any business dating a girl who doesn't think that's funny in the first place, so maybe it's more like a relationship litmus test.

There are a few things that I find interesting about this clip.

First, it is just a ploy to get men to buy jewelery and other expensive fluff for their significant others.

Secondly, if the men had put this together about women's gifts to them (seriously, how many guys get excited about a razor as a gift??) the outrage would have been heard of Jupiter.

Lastly, the doghouse/prison is a typical prison room from Norman era castles in England (and probably all over Europe). Typically, all the prisoners would interred in the one room, and there would be no light.
