My first encounter with one of these self-proclaimed "Marxists" back in high school was hilarious. He proudly proclaimed himself a marxist in class as if it somehow elevated him above everyone else.
I saw him at the end of the day driving off in his parents' convertible with a pair of Maui Jims on his head.
