Recession Penguins

So I've been watching the Penguins of Madagascar on cable recently on my vacation and I have to admit they are freaking awesome.

"Kowolski, status report!"

"What's the trouble private?"

You have to appreciate the Skipper.

Good show, Cappy Cap.

I didn't expect that to be as good as it was.

See, I would consider this a good example of worthless slime. If you want good modern animation, you want Wallace and Gromit, Avatar: the Last Airbender, or Pixar shorts (their features are hit and miss--even when they're a hit).

Oh, and Futurama.

Captain, if you haven't already, you really need to watch Spice and Wolf. It's an anime about economics and it's really good.

Backing up AeroGuy's recommendation. I've mentioned it before and damnit Captain, you need to watch it. Or if you want to read the novels that came first, a bunch of them are translated into English for the benefit of poor gaijin like ourselves.
