I keep seeing this chart, and I think it's terrible. By using volumes they actually serve to minimize the contrasts between the sizes. Some of those values would be like Mars sitting next to Jupiter if they were depicted on two dimensions alone, and not an unseen sense of depth. And considering constant values are one dimensional, even that works against a correct depiction.( I know, put up or shut up. I just might make a revised version... If I do, I'll send it to the Capt.)
Adjusted for inflation....what about as percent of GDP?
