At the risk of sounding like an old fuddy duddy (OK, a fuddy duddy who rides a Harley and goes to California surfing during his time off work), but 13 year olds need something like ten hours of sleep a night. That's why you make them go to bed at 8:00, not because you are a big meanie.
Also, if you've been around kids a lot you realize that you need some adult time. You put them to bed and then you get to have adult conversation for an hour or two before it is your turn to crash.
Anyway, loved the latest podcast, as usual. Just bought BPE and am waiting for it to arrive in the mail, loaned Enjoy the Decline to a buddy and got a call from him the other night specifically to tell me how much he was enjoying it.
